Eminenz, founded in 1989, are one of the oldest Black Metal bands from Germany. Having reached underground cult status back
in the 90s due to their demonic live shows full of blood, gore and fire breathing, and the infamous live gig 1990 in Annaberg-Buchholz in support of Mayhem, the band remains to this day an institution in the German Black Metal scene, continually active for over three decades....more

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

This album rocks! Has a great atmosphere. I really enjoy this type of BM that is more meditative, with excellent riffs. Love the sound of the guitar and drums. That snare drum hit is perfect. I am looking forward to future releases. Might be my new fav band! jschmid20

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
